Introduction

Ahha (“we”, “our”, “us”) is operated by Teo Jun Sheng Pierre. Ahha is a language learning app that helps you learn through real-world dialogues with audio and an AI assistant. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Information We Collect

Account data

We collect your email address for authentication via one-time passwords. We do not collect your name, phone number, or physical address.

Learning activity

We record how you interact with content and your language preferences.

Chat messages

When you use the AI chat assistant, we store the text of your conversations to provide the service.

Subscription data

We record your subscription status and transaction identifiers. Payments are managed by Apple and a third-party subscription management service.

Technical data

We collect your timezone and IP address for security purposes only. IP addresses are not linked to your account.

Third-Party Services

We use the following categories of third-party services:

  • Authentication & security: Third-party services to verify your identity and protect against fraud.
  • Payment processing: Subscriptions are managed through Apple. A third-party service helps us track subscription status.
  • AI features: Chat messages are processed by Google Gemini to generate language learning responses. When you use the AI chat, your message content and recent conversation context are sent to Google Gemini. We do not share your email, account information, or personal identifiers with Google Gemini. You must give explicit consent before your first use of AI chat, and you can disable it at any time in the app’s Settings.
  • Email delivery: A third-party service delivers account and service-related emails.
  • Analytics: We use analytics tools on our website and in the app to understand usage and improve the service.
  • Infrastructure: Cloud services for hosting, audio file storage, and caching. These process data as needed to operate the service.

These providers may collect data as described in their own privacy policies.

Data Retention

  • Account data: Kept until you delete your account.
  • Chat messages: Kept until you delete your account.
  • Temporary security data (such as one-time passwords) expires automatically.

Account Deletion

You can delete your account from the app settings. Deletion removes all your learning activity and chat history. Subscription data may be retained briefly for webhook processing. Your authentication account is also deleted.

Children’s Privacy

Ahha is designed for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
